1. If it is a solid pick it up without rubbing it in to the carpet. 2. For a wet area, take a tissue and place on the affected area blot do not rub. 3. If still there a mixture of detergent small amount and water not to strong, apply to area. Leave it for 5 minutes and blot with kitchen towels.

Regular Vacuuming:

For general maintenance regular hovering of your carpets will help remove move of the dirt penetrating deep in to the base of the carpet. Once the dirt has settled and compacted vacuuming will not be able to reach this level as over time it compacts. The only solution is a professional deep clean.

If you have pets you know how difficult it can be to maintain a clean carpet. Here's a tip, start sweeping the carpet with a rubber brush before hovering. This simple cleaning tip will remove a lot of the fibres before vacuuming and stopping the pet hairs entangling with the carpet fibres. Most vacuums will not remove all the pet hairs as they clog within a short amount of time.

So brush then vacuum the carpet making sure each area is covered at least twice.
